CS Discoveries Professional Learning Opportunity
URI is a Code.org Regional Partner and we are seeking teachers who would like to teach Code.org's CS Discoveries curriculum in Rhode Island! This is a unique opportunity to participate in a Code.org professional learning program offered as a URI summer course.
Successful completion of this PD qualifies you for the RIDE Computer Science Educator Endorsement.
Scholarship funding from CS4RI is anticipated in Summer 2022 for most teachers accepted into the program to attend the PD at no cost.
If there is a cost for PD, URI will notify you well before the start of the PD, and you will have the option to withdraw.
This PD is offered as a 5-week online summer course, including both synchronous virtual meeting times and asynchronous work on your own.
There is an option to receive 4 URI credits for this PD, but this option is not free; it requires paying URI Summer tuition.

Pre-service Teacher Opportunity!
For Summer 2022, URI is offering scholarships for pre-service teachers to participate in CSC222 Teaching Computer Science and become eligible for a RIDE CS Teacher Endorsement.
2022/23 PD Schedule
URI offers one PD training for the 2022/23 school year. It is comprised of a 5-week online summer course, including both synchronous virtual meeting times and asynchronous work on your own. Synchronous session meeting times are listed below - participants are expected to attend all sessions. This program earns a total of 100 PLU hours.
