Introduction to Data Science (DSP110)

Grades 9-12 (URI college credit available for students)

Introduction to Data Science introduces student to the world of data—how it’s collected, explored, and turned into insights that help us understand the world around us. Students work with real datasets to tackle questions from science, society, and beyond, learning how to explore, visualize, and analyze information along the way. Students also get hands-on experience with R or Python, both powerful computer languages used by professionals in the field. No coding background? No problem—this course starts with the basics!

This course can earn students 3 URI college credits through the URI CS Concurrent Enrollment Program.
